Start by filling out the Inquiry Form (click here!)
I’ll reach out within 3 business days to talk more details, set a price, and pick a date!
Sometimes things get lost in the void! If you haven’t heard from me in 3 business days, email me at Aurora@aurorawintersromance.com
After we set all the details, I’ll work you up a contract, which you will sign before paying a 10% non-refundable deposit to hold your start date.
On or before your start date, I’ll reach out to you for all final details, descriptions and inspiration photos.
I’ll work up a rough sketch of the pose and basic background. (Sometimes this rough sketch will be done before the contract stage.)
Next I’ll work on the line art of the main subject, before moving on to the background and added detail line art.
Once approved we’ll go on to flat color before finishing up the full render.
Be sure to check out the colors on multiple screens if possible.
If we’re doing something that needs typography, we’ll work on that where it best fits into the peice. Sometimes that’s at the rough sketch stage, sometimes it’s after the full render.
If this is a cover and you don’t have your blurb yet, don’t worry! We can easily add it on later. Just let me know before we work up a contract so that I can make sure I have time to work on it in my schedule.
Once you have approved the final proof copy, I will send you an invoice of the remaining balance.
The final balance must be paid in full before delivery of the artwork.
Art will be delivered to you via a zipped, google drive folder.
Your commercial license, as well as a speed draw of your art, will also be in this google drive folder.
These will remain in the google drive for 45 days before I remove them, so be sure to download and save them in a few places before then! 😉
Try to be available once or twice a day to approve changes. I view art creation as a collaborative process. And as such, I send a lot of proofs! To make sure we keep to the schedule, try to be available to approve changes a couple times per day.
Show your art to trusted people! I do ask you keep the proofs out of the public eye, but feel free to show it to people in your life that you trust to get feedback.
Take a look at the art on different screens! Especially when we get to the color stages. Different screens can display different colors and reveal things that need to be adjusted.
