But as Miranda’s constant babble and open heart soothes Govek’s past hurts, he finds that abandoning her is far more difficult than he ever could have dreamed, and the mysteries of how she came to his world are too curious to ignore.

Their attraction mounts as they battle the dangerous woods of Faeda, and Govek is inevitably forced to choose between the kin who betrayed him, and the woman he is growing to love.

They all say he’s dangerous, but she can’t stay away.

Miranda is desperate to protect her family, and that includes Govek.

Rove Wood Clan holds nothing but contempt for the male who saved her. The picture they paint of Govek is in such stark contrast to the sweet and caring orc she knows that Miranda can hardly believe they are the same person.

But defending Govek against his brethren’s hostility isn’t the only fight brewing on the horizon. Desperate to discover what happened to the children from the daycare she worked at on Earth, Miranda seeks out the orc seer, a male with immeasurable magic power beyond her imagining.

However, the seer wants absolutely nothing to do with her and Govek warns that pushing the issue could lead to disaster.

Convinced that this is what she was brought to Faeda to do, Miranda presses forward against all warnings. She will seek the truth at all costs.

Even if that cost is losing the male she’s grown to adore.

Govek is desperate to keep Miranda, no matter the cost.

Between his brethren’s constant attempts to separate Miranda from him, and the orc Warlords untimely visit, Govek finds himself torn between staying silent, and telling his new woman the truth of his vile past. But now she’s determined to speak with the seer, a male whose magic instantly rendered Miranda unconscious after a single shake of the hand. Govek can feel in his marrow that the consequences of using the seer’s power will be severe.

But so too would the consequences of trying to stop her.
